About NMA

Nino Muratovski is the Founder and Managing Director of NM Architecture, bringing close to two decades of design experience across Europe, the Middle East and Australia.

Nino began his career in Europe, training in architecture across Macedonia and Bulgaria before qualifying and working as an architect in Sofia, registered with the Chamber of Architects of Bulgaria (KAB). During this time he worked on a range of major international projects, including a government building for the UAE’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Khorfakkan, a large ski resort hotel in Bulgaria, and showroom and service centre developments for Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Audi across Europe.

After relocating to Melbourne, Nino transitioned into the Australian building design industry, joining local practices as a Senior Building Designer and progressively building his expertise in Australian planning schemes, the National Construction Code, and local documentation standards. Over several years, he led the design and documentation of residential, multi-unit, commercial and educational developments across Victoria, before founding NM Architecture in 2016 as Managing Director. Nino is registered with the Building and Plumbing Commission as a Building Designer (Architectural), DP-AD 44189.

Nino built the practice around a thorough, detail-driven design process: one that pairs industry-standard documentation with highly realistic 3D visualisations, so potential issues are identified and resolved long before construction begins. That process reflects his broader approach: practical problem-solving, close collaboration with clients, builders and consultants, and a commitment to designs that are not just well considered, but genuinely buildable.

Today, Nino leads the NM Architecture team with the same hands-on commitment to quality that has defined his career, staying current with design trends and building design technology while guiding the next generation of the practice.
